From 7 a.m., Saturday until 7 p.m., Sunday, San Francisco Water Department construction will take place near the Temporary Transbay Terminal at the intersection of Howard and Main streets.

The following Muni lines and routes will be affected:

* 5 Fulton
* 38 Geary
* 38L Geary Ltd.
* 71 Haight-Noriega
* 108 Treasure Island

Labor and Anti-War Rally and March
On Saturday at 11 a.m. a Local 2 and anti-war rally will begin at UN Plaza followed by a march. The march is scheduled to begin at approximately 1:15 p.m. traveling east on Market Street, north on Grant Street and west on Sutter Street to Stockton where it will stop for another rally. The march will then proceed south on Stockton Street and west on Geary Street to Powell Street where the rally will conclude.

Cross traffic will be impacted. SFPD officers will facilitate the march.

Muni customers wishing to participate or who otherwise want to go downtown are advised to take Muni Metro.

Emerald Across the Bay 12K
On Sunday the Emerald Across the Bay 12K race will be held from East Fort Baker in Marin County to Aquatic Park starting at 6 a.m.

Runners will leave East Fort Baker, run across the Golden Gate Bridge to Battery East Road. The runners will continue through the Presidio to Marina Boulevard and proceed through Fort Mason to Aquatic Park. One lane of Marina Boulevard will be closed in the westbound direction from Marina Gate to Buchanan Street from 8 to 11:30 a.m.

The 19 Polk Muni terminal on Beach Street will be temporarily relocated to Larkin Street at Beach from 6 to 9 a.m.

Sunday Streets
The first Sunday Streets event will be held this Sunday along the northbound Embarcadero from King Street to Fisherman’s Wharf and down 3rd Street to Mission Bay.

The 3.3-mile route will be available to pedestrians and bicyclists for recreational activities from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. These events are free to all participants.

The headquarters for the event will be located at Harry Bridges Plaza in front of the Ferry Building, where participants can get details about activities along the event route and free bike rentals and maintenance. Other key locations are Fisherman’s Wharf, East Park (south of Pier 39), Rincon Park, South Beach Park and Mission Bay Park (near Pier 52).

Detours from the Bay Bridge and Hwy 280 will be in place to assist travelers to the Fisherman’s Wharf area. Local access will be allowed to the piers via southbound Embarcadero or cross streets.
