irishculturalcenter.jpgHow many bars are located within the Irish Cultural Center in San Francisco out on Sloat St. near the Ocean? I have been told “13.” Is that number anywhere close?

“No,” says Mary, the assistant to the general manager at the Cultural Center. “We have one main bar in our restaurant, and then bars in the rooms used for private parties.” I pressed her for more details–there’s the larger St. Francis room, which can be split into two (so two bars!), and then the smaller St. Francis room, with only one lonely bar.

There you have it: 4 bars. Not 13, but you’ll live (possibly even longer). Happy St. Patrick’s Day.
