On Thursday for the Thanksgiving Day holiday, Muni will operate on a Sunday schedule. On Friday Muni will operate on a regular weekday schedule.

The SFMTA joins the Transportation Security Administration to remind customers to be vigilant during the holiday travel season by reporting suspicious activity to local law enforcement. The traveling public plays an important role in security, so “If You See Something, Say Something”.

On Thanksgiving Day parking meters and seven day street sweeping will not be enforced citywide. On Friday parking meters and 7-day street sweeping will be enforced. Commuter tow away, residential parking permits and Monday-Friday street sweeping will not be enforced on either day. Hazards are always subject to citation and towing.

Meters on Port of San Francisco property, including The Embarcadero and Fisherman’s Wharf, are enforced 7 days per week throughout the year.

Treasure Island Street Closure
On Friday the following street closure will be required between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. for an event at the San Francisco Gaelic Fields on Treasure Island:

· Avenue “H” between 11th and 13th streets

The 108 Treasure Island Muni route will be affected.

Union Square Tree Lighting Ceremony
On Friday the 22nd annual tree lighting will take place at 6 p.m. at Union Square.

The following street closures will be required between 4 and 10 p.m.:

· Geary Boulevard between Mason and Market streets
· Post Street between Mason Street and Grant Avenue

The following Muni routes will be affected starting at 3:30 p.m.:

· 2 Clement
· 3 Jackson
· 8X Bayshore Express
· 30 Stockton
· 38 Geary
· 38L Geary/Geary Limited
· 45 Union/Stockton

There will be heavy traffic in the area. Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time.

Critical Mass
On Friday at 6 p.m., the Critical Mass bicycle ride will begin at Justin Herman Plaza.

5k and 10K Run Wild for a Child Costume Contest
On Sunday at 8:30 a.m., the 27th annual Thanksgiving weekend run will take place in Golden Gate Park and the Panhandle area.

A portion of the run will require the closure of city streets surrounding the Panhandle from 7:45 to 10:30 a.m. The streets affected are as follows:

· Fell and Oak streets between Broderick and Stanyan streets
· Broderick, Baker, Masonic and Stanyan streets between Fell and Oak streets

The following Muni routes will be affected:
· 33 Stanyan
· 43 Masonic
· 44 O’Shaughnessy
