San Francisco residents who plan to cast ballots on Election Day are being advised to double-check their polling place addresses.
Due to a printing error, about a quarter of the city’s voter information pamphlets that were sent out listed a single polling place — 31 Howth St., near City College of San Francisco.
The Department of Elections has since sent out three correction notices to each of the roughly 115,000 voters who received the faulty information.
Voters unsure of where to vote can use the polling place lookup module on the department’s website at gispubweb.sfgov.org/website/pollingplace.
Residents are also being reminded to turn in their vote-by-mail ballots before 8 p.m. Tuesday if they want them to count in the election.
The city’s Department of Elections will not accept ballots received after the 8 p.m. deadline, even if they are postmarked before that time.
If it is too late to put the ballot in the mail, voters can turn ballots in at the elections office in the basement of City Hall or at any polling place in the city.
Vote-by-mail envelopes must be sealed and signed before being dropped off, according to the department.
Tuesday’s election will decide the city’s mayoral, district attorney and sheriff’s races, as well as a number of propositions.
