shooting_nighttime.jpgA man was seriously injured in a shooting in San Francisco’s Mission District on Sunday night, police said.

The shooting was reported at about 9:15 p.m. Sunday near 26th and Harrison streets.

The 31-year-old victim was chased down the street by someone who shot him several times then fled in a waiting vehicle, according to police.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds to his back.

The suspect and the getaway car, a dark four-door vehicle, had not been found as of this morning.
