District attorney’s spokesman Seth Steward said suspect Woodrow Blake has been charged in connection with the robberies, which began in mid-August.

Four of the robberies occurred at the same intersection, at O’Farrell and Beideman streets in the city’s Western Addition neighborhood.

In each case, a man would hail a cab and ask to be taken to that intersection, then upon arrival he would pull out a knife and demand money from the driver, police said.

The most recent case was reported on Sept. 12. None of the taxi drivers were injured.

Blake is scheduled to be arraigned at 1:30 p.m. today at the San Francisco Hall of Justice.
