sfpd_squad.jpgA man suffered life-threatening injuries when he was stabbed after confronting two intruders in his home in San Francisco’s Mission District late Friday night, police said.

The stabbing was reported around 11 p.m. Friday in the 1000 block of Capp Street, near 25th Street.

The 42-year-old victim came home and found the two suspects inside. He told them to leave, but before they fled at least one of the suspects stabbed him several times in the back, according to police.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries, police said.

The suspects, described as in their early 40s, have not been found. Anyone with information about the stabbing is encouraged to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.
