A 30-foot moving van crashed through the front of an apartment building on Church Street in San Francisco late this morning, a San Francisco Fire Department spokeswoman said.

The crash happened at a six-unit building at 947 Church St., fire spokeswoman Lt. Mindy Talmadge said. A dispatcher said the incident was reported at 11:30 a.m.

Talmadge said no injuries were reported but that the driver of the van was taken to a hospital to be evaluated, she said.

She said it’s unclear exactly what happened, but that the van had a full load and the driver apparently lost control.

The van went almost all the way into the building and smashed out a back wall, she said. Crews searched the building three times and did not find anyone who was injured.
