sfpd_gunpoint.jpgAn argument erupted into gunfire Monday night in San Francisco’s Bayview District, leaving a teenager with injuries that police said were not believed to be life threatening.

The 16-year-old victim had been involved in a fight at about 9:45 p.m. While he fled in a vehicle, the suspect opened fire with a handgun, striking the victim in the leg, police said.

Officers responded to the shooting, and the victim was transported to San Francisco General Hospital.

The suspect was described only as a black male, police said. No arrests have been made.
