sfpd_gunpoint.jpgA man had a gun held to his head as he was robbed in San Francisco Wednesday night, police said today.

The robbery was reported at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Bowdoin and Gaven streets.

The 56-year-old victim was walking when a suspect approached him and put a silver handgun to his head and demanded his property, according to police.

The victim complied, handing over a backpack along with his cellphone, wallet and cash, police said.

The suspect ran away and had not been found as of this morning.

The victim was not injured in the robbery, according to police.
