shooting_nighttime.jpgTwo men were injured in a shooting in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood early this morning, police said.

The shooting was reported shortly before 2 a.m. near Sixth and Minna streets.

The victims, ages 20 and 22, were approached by a man who opened fire with a handgun, hitting them both, according to police.

One man was struck in the leg and the other in the arm, police Officer Albie Esparza said.

They were taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for their injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, Esparza said.

The suspect ran away after the shooting and was still at large this morning, police said.
