true-sf-giants-new-era-cap.jpgThe family of Bryan Stow, the Giants fan who was badly beaten outside Dodger Stadium in March, is holding a news conference this morning at San Francisco General Hospital to discuss the arrest of a suspect in the attack.

The suspect, Giovanni Ramirez, 31, of Los Angeles, was taken into custody in the 800 block of Mariposa Avenue in East Hollywood at about 7 a.m. on Sunday, according to police.

He has been booked into jail on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon, and is being held on $1 million bail.

A second suspect is also being sought in connection with Stow’s beating, which occurred in the stadium parking lot after the Dodgers played the Giants on March 31.

Stow, 42, works as a paramedic in Santa Clara County. The family is not expected to share any new information on his condition this morning, hospital spokeswoman Rachael Kagan said.
