The Chinese Community Street Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday in Chinatown.

The following street closures will be required for the Street Fair from 11 p.m., Friday to 11 p.m. on Sunday.

· Grant Avenue from California Street to Broadway
· Pacific Avenue from Columbus Avenue to Stockton Street
· Jackson Street from Stockton Street to Kearny Street
· Washington Street from Stockton Street to Kearny Street
· Intersections: Jackson Street and Grant Avenue, Washington Street and Grant Avenue and Pacific Street and Grant Avenue
· All alleys in the area bounded by California Street, Stockton Street, Broadway and Kearny Street

There will be heavy traffic in the area. Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time.

The following Muni routes will be affected.

· 10 Townsend
· 12 Folsom/Pacific

Chinese New Year Parade

On Saturday at 5:15 p.m., the Chinese New Year Parade will start from 2nd and Market streets. The route the parade will follow will be west on Market Street, west on Geary Street, north on Powell Street, east on Post Street, north on Kearny Street to Columbus Avenue.

Staging of the floats will begin at 10 a.m. Staging for the rest of the parade will begin at 3 p.m.

The following closures will be required from 10 a.m. to approximately 5:15 p.m.:

o Main Street from Market Street to Harrison Street

From 3 p.m. to approximately 5:15 p.m.:

o Market Street from Beale Street to 2nd Street
o 2nd Street from Market Street to Mission Street

Cross traffic will be allowed within the staging area until 5 p.m.

After the parade clears an area and the streets have been cleaned, they will be opened to traffic.

Holiday Muni Schedule and Parking Enforcement

On the Presidents’ Day holiday, Muni will operate on a Saturday schedule.

Parking meters and seven day street sweeping will be enforced citywide on the holiday. Commuter tow away, residential parking permits and Monday-Friday street sweeping will not be enforced.

Meters on SF Port property are enforced seven days per week throughout the year. Hazards are always subject to citation and towing.
