Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspects in a fatal shooting atop San Francisco’s Twin Peaks early Saturday morning.

Luis Venegas, 23, was with a group of friends in a parking lot at Christmas Tree Point, a scenic overlook, when a verbal dispute with a nearby group escalated into gunfire at about 3:20 a.m., police said.

Venegas was shot several times and died at the scene, police Sgt. Michael Andraychak said Saturday.

The suspects, described only as two or three white or Hispanic males, fled in a white Honda Odyssey minivan, Andraychak said.

No arrests had been made as of Wednesday, when police renewed their call for assistance in tracking down the suspects.

Police said numerous people witnessed the shooting.
