police-light-bar1.jpgA man killed in a crash on southbound U.S. Highway 101 in San Francisco Friday night has been identified by the medical examiner’s office as Robert Tosatto.

Tosatto, 60, of Brisbane, was killed in the crash, which was reported at about 7:50 p.m. just north of Beatty Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A blue SUV collided with a dark-colored sedan, CHP Officer Scott Cakebread said.

Tosatto was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the CHP.

The crash caused the closure of multiple southbound lanes on Highway 101 until about 9:30 p.m.
