The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 2.0 struck early this morning in Contra Costa County.
At 5:31 a.m., the 2.6-mile deep quake shook an area near Lake Del Valle Regional Park, which is about 7 miles south-southeast of Livermore, according to the USGS.
