Two earthquakes shook the Bay Area Sunday morning, one near Danville, the other in Sonoma county. They were both really small, and no damage was reported.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 2.0 struck at 5:40 AM in Sonoma County.
The quake was centered 2 miles north of The Geysers and 11 miles east-northeast of Cloverdale, according to the USGS, and had a depth of 1.4 miles.
The second area quake struck Contra Costa County at 6:15 AM, with a preliminary magnitude of 2.0, according to the USGS.
The quake, which had a depth of 4.4 miles, was centered 1 mile north-northeast of Danville and 10 miles south-southeast of Concord, according to the USGS.
