Michael Croslin, age 50, of San Francisco has been sentenced to three years in state prison after being convicted of elder abuse and assault by a jury. The sentence was handed down by Judge James Collins on July 14th, after two days of jury deliberation. The trial lasted two weeks.
The incident occurred October 23, 2009 in the victim’s Noe Valley apartment. Both men were using drugs when an argument ensued. Croslin attacked the 67-year-old victim with a cane, yelling that “I should kill you”. The victim suffered injuries to his head and hand yet managed to escape. He contacted a neighbor who then notified the police. Croslin was arrested that very day.
