The cable in question

A downed Muni cable at Judah and 45th Ave is disrupting N Judah service between Sunset and La Playa this afternoon, leaving flocks of sun dazed hooky players wandering the area like chinchillas dropped from their cages.

We noted the damage at around 3 this afternoon, and spoke to a very nice MTA employee, who told us that since the repair crews must come all the way from the Potrero Hill area, it might be a while before a fix is in place.

SF MTA Murray Bond confirms that crews have been dispatched to make repairs, and that shuttle buses are serving customers between Sunset and the beach.
