Elsewhere: Two Accidents Involving Pedestrians, One Fatal in SF KCBS, 2 tragedies in S.F. involving city vehicles Chron, Woman Killed on Ocean Avenue by Driver of SF Water Department Truck Streetsblog



The “non-Muni accident” Muni referred to in its advisory to riders regarding KT line disruption: well, that regarded a pedestrian fatality at Ocean and Miramar.

According to Bay City News, an elderly woman was crossing the street at Ocean and Miramar an intersection that, according to Google street view, has crosswalks at all points.

According to the SFFD, she was struck by a SF PUC truck at 1:40 PM, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the PUC truck did indeed stop, and was the one who called 911.

Elsewhere, a 9 San Bruno struck a woman at Burrows and San Bruno, another intersection with clearly marked crosswalks. That woman remains in critical condition at SF General.
