Two separate knife-related assaults hit the city this morning, leaving one person in the hospital and another in police custody.

The first happened when a suspect described as a “white male” by the SFPD “brandished” a knife at another while male who was withdrawing money at that big wall of B of A ATMs at Castro and 18th. The guy with the knife demanded (and got) the victim’s money, then fled on foot. The victim wasn’t injured, and no arrests have been made. The anon tipline, if you saw anything, is 392-2623.

Also this morning, a white male walking in the (rather lovely, residential) 1100 block of Montgomery was reportedly approached by two Hispanic males, one white male, and one white female. One suspect was said to have stabbed the victim, leaving him with a life threatening injury. In this case, one arrest has been made, so we’ll update with more details as we have them.
