1000.jpgAs you know, the big pink Pride triangle atop Twin Peaks went aflame early yesterday morning. It was reported yesterday that SFFD’s arson team is on the case, but this morning’s headlines seemed eerily free of updates on the news.

So, we decided to do even more JOURNALISM and called SFFD spokesperson Lt. Mindy Talmadge, who told us that as of this morning, the fire department is “officially calling this an intentional act” and that SFFD’s arson task force (a group made up of police, fire, and, depending on the particular crime, other agencies) is in the midst of a criminal investigation.

We’re not going to speculate on the nature of this crime — Brock, can you please handle that for us? — but we will say this: a lot of those super scary hateful Gate commenters we all bitch about live in the 7×7, trust us, we checked the IP addresses. So, yeah, our beautiful progressive bubble? Not so much.
