Saturday and Sunday: Post from Laguna to Fillmore, Webster from Sutter to Geary will be closed from 11-6 for the Cherry Blossom Festival. Expect delays on the 2, 3, and 22.
Sunday: If you’re the kind of person who typically rides the 36 Teresita early Sunday mornings (now, that is a ride of shame), you’ll be able to catch it even earlier this week: the Easter Sunrise service on Mount Davidson is being held at about 6:38 AM (sunrise, you see), with the 36 starting its day at 4:45 AM to run the faithful up that hill, from Forest Hill Station to Myra Way and Dalewood Way.
Sunday: from 3 AM to midnight, Union from Gough to Fillmore, Buchanan from Green to Filbert, Octavia from Green to Filbert, Laguna from Green to Filbert, and Webster from Green to Filbert, as well as the intersections of Octavia, Laguna, Webster, Buchanan with Union will all be closed for the Union Street Spring Celebration, which runs from 10-5 that day. Expect delays on the 22, 30, 45, and, for god’s sake, don’t try to drive around there, it’ll be a mess.
Sunday: Noe between Market and Beaver will be closed from noon to 10 for the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence 30th Anniversary Celebration (you already knew about this!) in Dolores Park, which is followed by a parade 4 PM parade from Dolores to 17th, down Sanchez to 16th, then to Market and Noe for another celebration from 4 to 8 PM. If you’re taking any Muni line that heads through the Castro or West Mission, expect delays.
Sunday: The (autoplay music, grrr) Bring Your Own Big Wheel race has been granted a reprieve, which means that 4 PM will see 20th and Vermont as a place for non-Big Wheelers to avoid. The 53 will, most likely, be affected.
