UPDATE: We’ve just heard that the Bay Bridge is going to be partially closed from 11 PM-6 AM tonight, Saturday and Sunday.

We’re told the closures tonight include the far left 11 toll booths, the left lane of the northbound 880 connector ramp to 80 west 80, and the northbound 880 HOV off-ramp to the toll plaza.

Closures Saturday night include the far right 11 toll
booths and thier lanes, as well as the westbound 80 HOV flyover, westbound 80 bus
off-ramps, and the connector ramp from northbound 880 to westbound 80.

Sunday night, the far right 11 toll booths and the westbound 80 HOV flyover,
bus off-ramps, and the connector ramp between northbound 880 and
westbound 80.

This all seems confusing and difficult to visualize, so good luck out there, Bay Bridgers.

Tonight: Critical Mass starts at 6, with cyclists gathering at Justin Herman Plaza to start things off. You know the drill: route is unknown, traffic will be disrupted as cyclists pass, give yourself extra travel time if you’re going anywhere by car. As this correspondent’s 22 driver said this morning “People, respect each other and yourselves!”

Saturday: The Greek Independence Parade starts down Market at 2nd at noon, ending at Van Ness and Larkin. Market will be closed from 1st to 8th from 11 AM until the parade passes.

All Market-traveling Muni lines are rerouted or otherwise impacted (oh, no, CultureBus delays!), we say Muni Metro is the way to go.

Sunday: the Presidio 10 will be run in the (surprise) Presidio from 8-11 AM The Presidio portions of Lincoln Blvd and Mason Street will be closed until 11:30, and 29-Sunset will be rerouted.

Traumatic Freeway Closures: Every SF cyberspace user already knows that 280 is going to be a huge pain in the ass so the NBC can shoot a freeway crash, tanker truck explosion, and various other spoiler alert-worthy thrills for some new show they’re making for the television box.

  • 280 Northbound King Street exit will be closed 5 AM Saturday-10 PM Sunday,Monday-Wednesday 10 AM-9PM, with traffic diverted to 6th Street with detours set up to the Embarcadero.
  • 280 Southbound King Street entrance will be closed on Sunday from 1-4 PM, with traffic diverted to Mariposa or 6th at Brannan.
  • (This one is our favorite) “Throughout filming, there will also be intermittent traffic stoppages at the entrance to I-280 southbound at both 6th Street and King Street whenever there is a stunt being filmed or a helicopter landing or taking off. These brief intermittent stoppages will take place randomly during filming on the weekend and on the weekdays between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.” Stunts!
