UPDATE: The ME’s office is asking for your help in identifying this person. Chief Medical Examiner Amy Hart provided the following description:
A white male, about 50 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 167 pounds, with dark brown hair. He was wearing a green sweatshirt, a red T-shirt, green boxer shorts and one green dress sock. He had no identification, no tattoos and no jewelry, but did have a surgical scar around his left shoulder, and an X-ray showed a surgical screw and wire in the left shoulder.
There are no signs of trauma or anything that would indicate criminal activity. but police continue to treat the case as “suspicious.”

As reported yesterday, it took a rather Keystone-Kopsish collaboration of one kayker, “several” firefighters, and a some dragon boat instructors to retrieve a dead body from Lake Merced Sunday afternoon.
Though the Examiner reported that an identification was expected today, on our most recent call to the ME’s office we were told that an identification would definitely not be forthcoming today, and “maybe not even tomorrow.” We’ll keep on checking back.
