sffd_fire.jpgFirefighters extinguished a two-alarm blaze that damaged three buildings in San Francisco’s Pacific Heights neighborhood this evening, a fire dispatcher said.

At least two people were displaced by the fire, which was reported just before 6 p.m. in the 2500 block (not the 4500 block, as previously reported) of California Street, the dispatcher said. It was controlled about 40 minutes later.

One firefighter suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital, the dispatcher said.

The Red Cross was assisting the displaced residents tonight.
