The SF Zoo’s home to the world’s largest colony of Magellanic penguins in a zoo or aquarium setting, which means that when it’s health checkup time, there’s a lot of feet, eyes, beaks, wings and nails to examine.

In this video you can see a little of what Zoo staff has to do to give 44 of their penguins the once-over. The penguins get their beaks and nails trimmed, get shots to inoculate them against the West Nile Virus, and get their weight checked.

It is, I must say, pretty devastatingly cute, way cuter than when you or I get a physical.
