See it Live:

Wednesday, October 20: If circle pits and pool skating are your thing, Wednesday is your night. Suicidal Tendencies is shredding the stage after 20 years, and their brand of California thrash punk never gets old. They play The Fillmore at 8:00pm on Wednesday, tickets start at $38.50.

Thursday, October 21: There’s no better day to mosh than a Thursday, it’s just a great way to start off the weekend. After a lineup like Atreyu, Blessthefall, Chiodios, and Architects U.K. you’ll be lucky if you leave with both your shoes. Tickets start at $18.00, shoves start at 6:30pm.

Friday, October 22: Shakira‘s hips don’t lie, and they say she’s coming to the Oracle arena on Friday. Tickets are surprisingly cheap, starting at just $15.00. But if you really want to appreciate the view it’s going to run you about $167.30. Shimmy starts at 8:00pm.

Saturday/Sunday, October 23/24: Neil Young’s 24th annual Bridge School Benefit gets under way this Saturday at the Shoreline Amphitheater. The weekend benefit also extends on to Sunday, and features names like Pearl Jam, Elvis Costello, Billy Idol, Grizzly Bear, Buffalo Springfield, Elton John and more. The concerts starts at 5:00pm on Saturday and 2:00pm on Sunday, which I think it perfect timing. Tickets start at $47.35 and cap at $171.00.

Saturday, October 23: Ain’t no party like a queer dance party! But this one stops at 6:00pm. The B.Y.O.Q. (Bring Your Own Queer) event starts at noon on Saturday at the music concourse in Golden Gate Park. Hard French DJs, Honey Soundsystem, Felatio “B.J.” Browne and many more will be fueling the fire. Check here for more info and full lineup.

The keyboardist of Hot Chip, Felix Martin, has passed on a little mixtape to get us ready for their fall prance around the country. Only one song by the disco poppers is on the mix, but that shouldn’t stop you from dancing your ass off. Get it here.

This song is way too damn catchy. A-Trak lays out a fun, quirky beat and CyHi Da Prynce absolutely murders it. It’s called Ray Ban Vision, and it’s, well, about wearing Ray Bans. I know it sounds dumb, it is. But sometimes stupid is really, really fun.

Kanye West’s weekly G.O.O.D. Friday giveaway brought us something a little different last week. It was a track called “Don’t Stop!” by a group called Child Rebel Soldier. Never heard of them? Sure you have. Kanye, Lupe Fiasco, and Pharrell Williams make up that super group, and I wouldn’t expect any less of a name from them. Nor a song that is, snag it here.

Be sure to check out our coverage of the weekends Treasure Island Music Festival! Saturday here, and Sunday here.

Kanye West‘s newest album cover was “banned,” according to tweets by the now avant garde artist (the LA Times isn’t so sure about that). The cover features an abstract painting of West and a lady friend/monster “chilling on the couch,” but is it really that offensive? Click here to see the album cover (perhaps NSFW) and find out more.

The recently released from jail, and recently arrested T.I. has a good side. Maybe? The Atlanta rapper talked a man out of jumping off a 22-story building last week, by sending up a video message to the negotiator, coaxing the man to get down. Conveniently, this whole incident happened on the day before the rapper went back to court, and on top of a hip hop radio station’s building. Hmmmm, maybe it was all a scam?!

With a name like Mick Rock you’ve got to be a damn music photographer. And he is. Rock has been shooting celebs since the days of Syd Barrett‘s solo works, and has worked on through to artists like Bono and Lady Gaga. Wow, he has a way of making rock stars almost look human! Check out this gallery.

As a kid, Eminem knew all about being bullied. Proof? Listen to any one of his songs. And now the Detroit rapper has a new song telling the tale of a kid who would be bullied no longer. It features Lil Wayne and plenty of inspirational, go-get-’em lines. It’s called No Love, cause well, that’s what its about. And yes, it even samples What is Love?. A winner in my book, you can watch the video above (If you’re at work, get out the headphones — there is “adult language,” as they say).
