Have I told you guys before about how the best part of my day is frequently reading Leah Garchik’s column in the Chron?

Well, it is. I don’t care how that might make me sound to you guys!

Today her column included an overheard quote I’ve been mulling all day. I shall reproduce it below:

“The East Bay is the new San Francisco.”

California College of the Arts freshman talking on a cell phone from porch in Berkeley, overheard by Suzan Ormandy

Does this unnamed student have a point, or is this just art student bullshit?

What does this even mean?

I won’t speculate, as to preserve the integrity of the poll (ha!) but urge your intrepetations in the comments.

Sorry RSS readers! This post probably looks crazy to you! It’s because there’s a poll that you can’t see.
