Friday, September 3: 107.7 the Bone is putting on their annual “Bone Bash” this Friday, headlined by none than the heavily bearded ZZ Top. Openers include 38 Special and Eagles of Death Metal. Get ready for a throwback at the Shoreline Amphitheater starting at 6:00pm, get in for $10.
Friday, September 3: You can call them the Generals of Eclectic, or The Grouch and Eligh. Either way the two rappers/friends are going to be at the Voodoo Lounge in San Jose this Friday. The Living Legends members put on a great show by themselves, and they connect with a crowd like no other rhymers do. Tickets are $20, show starts at 9:00pm.
Saturday, September 4: While AFI and Green Day may have evolved out of there punk rock ways, they are still Bay Area punk rock legends. They both got starts at small venues here in the bay, but now they’ve grown to bigger things. This Saturday AFI will be opening for Green Day at the Shoreline amphitheater, expect epic sets from both. Nostalgia starts at 7.00pm, tickets start at $20.
Saturday, September 4: In San Francisco, our summer has just begun. What better way to kick It off than with KMEL’s Summer Jam. Drake, E-40, Bobby Brackins and more are headed to the Oracle Area in Oakland this Saturday to lay down some Top 40 action. Tickets start at $23.75 (before fees), and the sing a longs begin at 7:30pm. Or, listen to the station all this week to win tickets.
Monday, September 6: Panda Bear, AKA Noah Lennox, AKA a founding member of Animal Collective is coming to the Fox Theater in Oakland this Monday. The singer and songwriter is bringing his experimental style in the form of his solo works, which he dubbed Panda Bear because of his habit of drawing them. Tickets are $25, songs start at 8:00pm.

Last Friday he gave us this six and a half minute song called Monster, which features a dude from Bon Iver, Rick Ross, Jay-Z, and Nicki Minaj. Yes, it’s that good.
Chicago hip hopper Lupe Fiasco is known for his alternative style and his love of skateboards. His third album, Lazers, keeps getting delayed, and we’ve been waiting oh so patiently. As an appetizer, he gives us his new single called Go To Sleep. It’s more down tempo than his other singles, but it’s distinctly Lupe.
Pete Yorn and Spin give us an exclusive download to one of Pete’s new songs, titled Velcro Shoes. The singer says the song is about the excitement of a child when he or she receives a new pair of shoes. That’s pretty damn relatable. Hell, I still enjoy a new pair of shoes.

Lady Gaga has begun revealing her next barrage of billboard hits. Last night the singer revealed a new song titled ‘Living on the Radio’ in Minneapolis, and a couple weeks ago she performed another new song called ‘You and I’ on Good Morning America. Watch them here and here, respectively.
Whoever thought saying ‘Fuck You’ could be so jolly and fun? Well, Cee-Lo (Goodie Mob, Gnarls Barkley) did. The song is great if you haven’t heard it. And now there’s a music video to accompany it. Watch it here.

Everyone loves a little celebrity beef. Win Butler, singer of Arcade Fire, has spoken out against Wyclef Jean for President of Haiti. His reasons include Wyclef not knowing French or Creole, which would arguable make it difficult for Wyclef to run a government there. Read the full statement here.
