This one’s serious. I know, I know: there are SO many awesome Litquake events this week, but yo, today’s the 20th anniversary of Loma Prieta.

At 10:15 a.m., Californians will drop, cover, and hold on (not to be confused with stop, drop, and roll or even rock and roll). Essentially, today’s the day when you soil your pants thinking about earthquakes, clean yourself up, and get your earthquake safety skill and procedures together.

Incidentally, Stanford University will host an earthquake panel if you need some moral support.

When: Today at 10:15 a.m. (but really all day)
Cost: Free
Website: http://www.shakeout.org/drill/
Venue: All over San Francisco
Address: Mission District, Haight, Downtown, SOMA, Potrero Hill

This event is curated from funcheap, a San Francisco-based website that uncovers and shares recommendations of 50+ cheap, fun, and unique Bay Area events each week.
