“Expect to see some Internet celebrities,” TwestivalSF coordinator Krystyl Baldwin promises. “For somebody who is looking to meet people in social media, this is definitely the event to come to–they will be there.” Social media people like the Twitter founders, Kevin Rose, and Adventure Girl.

Twestival combines networking and charity, as Twestival Local descends on over 200 cities worldwide between September 10 and 13. Each city chooses its own charity, and San Francisco will honor Operation Smile (140 Smiles when you couple that with Twitter). Operation Smile provides reconstructive surgery to children born with cleft lips, cleft palates, and other facial deformities. Baldwin says that she hopes to raise between $50,000 and $75,000 through TwestivalSF.

And she’s ensuring that it will be “the night event blogged about for the next year.” Attendees can relive their teenage past in a legit photobooth. Photographers will wirelessly upload pictures to Flickr. Justin.tv will broadcast live video complete with an online chatroom. And just in case that’s not enough coverage, Geek Entertainment TV will be on hand to interview the minglers. Better get your game face on and moo cards ready.
