Adult-Clipper-Card-web.jpgBay Area transit officials will officially change the name of the region’s all-in-one re-loadable transit card from TransLink to Clipper today.

The Clipper card will be launched at a news conference at the Hyde Street Pier late this morning, according to the Metropolitan Transportation Commission.

Transit officials will also make announcements about the availability and distribution of the new Clipper cards.

TransLink cards are currently accepted on several of the region’s largest transit networks, including San Francisco Muni, BART, AC Transit, Golden Gate Transit & Ferry, Caltrain and Dumbarton Express, according to the MTC.
