Captain’s Message:
Once again, there were a quite a few great arrests yesterday. The officers at Ingleside Station continue to work hard to get violent criminals off of the streets! Sgt. Molina, Officer Daggett, Officer Hurwitz, and several other officers made a great arrest resulting in the apprehension of a parolee at large and the seizure of illegal narcotics, weapons, and fireworks! Incident Date: Thursday, July 9, 2009 Arrests:
2:04 pm 900 block of Ellsworth Street Warrant Arrest/Controlled SubstanceOffense/Probation Violation
California Department of Corrections Agents Pierini and Everson arrived at Ingleside Station requesting assistance in locating a Parole at Large. This resulted in a great arrest by Officer Daggett, Officer Hurwitz, and Sgt. Molina, and Housing Officers Toomey, Suslow, Pedersen, and Goff. They were also assisted by Sgt. Benzinger and Officers Sanders, Lopez, and Pascua from our Fugitive Recovery Enforcement Team. The officers responded to the location where they knew the individual stayed. After several advisements to open the door, four males exited the house. A computer check revealed that one of the individuals had an outstanding parole warrant and he was placed under arrest. The officers conducted a parole search of the residence and seized illegal narcotics, illegal weapons, and illegal fireworks. The three other individuals were arrested and taken into custody. 11:48am unit block of Curtis Hit and Run with injury/Unlicensed Driver
Officer Soulette responded to the area of Mission and Allison Streets on a report of a hit and run. Officer Soulette determined that the elderly driver was injured and requested an ambulance. Officer Rand responded to the scene and took over the traffic investigation. An unknown party called dispatch with a suspect and suspect vehicle description (with plate), so officer Soulette began searching the area. As Officer Soulette turned onto Curtis from Rolph, he observed the suspect vehicle and an individual matching the suspect description. Officer Soulette approached the suspect and asked her if she was okay. The suspect confessed to the hit and run and the victim positively identified her as the driver of the vehicle who struck his vehicle. The suspect was subsequently arrested. Case #090697338.
7:37pm 3500 block of Mission Street Indecent Exposure/Hallucinogen’s Offense
Officers Yuen and Paras responded to the 3500 block of Mission Street to assist Sgt. Knoble with a naked person in the street. Upon their arrival, Sgt. Knoble, Officer Toomey, and Officer Suslow had the subject detained. Sgt. Knoble advised Officers Yuen and Paras that he placed the individual under arrest for indecent exposure because he was standing in the middle of the street completely naked with his pants around his ankles. Officer Toomey searched the individual and found suspected illegal narcotics. Officer Toomey conducted an investigation and believed that the subject was under the influence of an illegal narcotic. 1:35am 3300 block of Mission Street Stabbing
Officers Jones and Jou investigated and prepared a report regarding an assault/att. homicide. Officers responded to SFGH were they were advised that a victim had been involved in a physical altercation on Mission St and was stabbed. Victim was transported to SFGH but was unable to give a statement to police at this time. Case #090700072.
3:13am 300 Block of Oxford St Robbery
Officers Ng and Almaguer investigated and prepared a report regarding a robbery with force. Three unknown suspect approached victim from behind and pushed him against a car while simulating a gun and threatening victim’s life. Suspect #1 went through victim’s pockets. Suspects fled on foot but a vehicle was heard leaving the area. Loss is a wallet and its contents, a cellular phone and a black duffle bag. Victim was not injured. Suspects are described as three black male adults wearing dark clothing with hooded sweatshirts. Case #090700179.
5:52am unit block of Phelan Avenue Burglary
SFCCPD Officer Adams responded to City College to take a burglary report. Officer Adams met with the victim to stated that the office was secured on 7/8/09 at approximately 1800 hours and when he returned to the office on 7/9/09 at 0550 hours he found one of the security windows smashed out and the metal security cage pried off. The victim entered the office and found that it had been ransacked. The victim also discovered that the bungalow next door had also been ransacked. The victim stated that 5 or 6 laptop computers, 5 Motorola walkie talkies, a blackberry cell phone, and a digital camera had been stolen. C.S.I. was contacted and later responded to process the scene. Case #090696578.
7:30am 5500 block of Mission St Burglary
Officers Soulette investigated and prepared a report regarding a commercial burglary that occurred. Entry was made through the locked front door. Loss is a laptop computer. No suspect description provided. C.S.I was contacted to process the crime scene. Case #090696744.
11:46am 600 block of Peralta Avenue Burglary
Officers Huang and Sanchez responded to the 600 block of Peralta to investigate a grand theft report. The victim advised them that on 7/8/09 at 7pm he noticed that his mountain bike was missing from his garage. The victim stated that he last saw his bike on 7/8/09 at 8am with the cable lock secured to the frame and wheels. The victim noticed that the garage door was left unlocked, however the door was closed. There is no suspect information at this time. Case #090697366.
2:19pm Geneva Avenue/Naples Street Suspicious Person
Officer Huang was working station duty when an individual approached the front counter. The victim stated that he had been confronted by an unknown male for the past two days and he wanted the incidents documented. The victim stated that on 7/8/09 at 4:25am he was driving his vehicle at Geneva Avenue and Naples Street when an unknown male subject jumped out in front of his vehicle and gave him “a mean look”. On 7/9/09 at 4:20am the victim was again driving his vehicle at the same intersection when he observed the same unknown subject standing on the corner. The subject threw a water bottle at the victim’s vehicle, which struck the front windshield (no damage). The victim unrolled his window and the subject threatened to shoot the victim. No fun was seen or simulated. The victim fled the scene. Case #090697918.
3:30pm 200 block of Drake Street Suspicious Occurrence
Reporting party responded to Ingleside station to report a verbal dispute that occurred with a neighbor. A report was filed. Case #090689201

6:15pm Mission St/Geneva Ave Battery
Officers Gamboa and Padilla investigated and prepared a report of a battery that occurred. Victim said while walking on Mission Street an unknown male sprayed what he believed to be pepper spray in his face. Victim stated this was unprovoked and had never seen this suspect before. Officers summoned an ambulance to treat the victim. Case #090698831.
6:40pm 400 block of Cortland Ave Theft from Building
Officers Yuen and Paras prepared an incident report regarding a theft from a commercial building. Two female suspects entered the store and without the worker seeing them were able to enter an employee room. The suspects exited the room and then exited the store. An witness advised the employee of what the suspects did. The employee victim noticed her cellular phone missing from the employee room. Case #090698944.
