3:48 pm 4600 block Mission St. Forged Checks
Officer Ueber and Officer Chi responded to a call of check fraud at a bank. Upon their arrival, the officers detained the male suspect. The bank manager stated that, over the course of several days, the suspect had been cashing over $800.00 worth of stolen checks from a private business. The private business owner eventually notified the bank that the checks were fraudulent. In addition to the fraud charges, the suspect was booked for an outstanding arrest warrant, case number 090738625.

6:44 pm Mission St. / Virginia St. Evading Police
Officer Preston was on bicycle patrol when he saw a motorcyclist make a dangerous and reckless lane change. Officer Preston ordered the motorcyclist to stop, who instead attempted to speed away. Officer Todaro and Officer Traw were able to catch up to the suspect in their police vehicle and effected a traffic enforcement stop. The motorcyclist was cited and released, case number 090739190.

11:45 pm 29th St. / Mission St. Unlicensed Driver
Officer Obot was on patrol and saw a moving vehicle proceed through a solid red light at an intersection. Officer Obot effected a traffic enforcement stop and contacted the driver, who happened to be unlicensed. The driver was cited and the vehicle was towed, case number 090740012.

8:06 am unit block Phelan Ave. Grand Theft
SFCCPD Officer Alfonso responded to a construction site on City College property regarding a call of a theft. The workers at the site had returned to find several expensive tools missing, case number 090736798.

12:00 pm Mission St. / Geneva Ave. Lost Property
Officer Padilla and Officer Gamboa were on foot patrol when they were flagged down by a passerby who reported that she had lost her cell phone on board a Muni bus, case number 090737423.

3:11 pm unit block Phelan Ave. Petty Theft
SFCCPD Officer Borrego responded to City College regarding a theft. A student was studying in the library and left her books and purse on a table as she stepped away for a minute. When she returned, she found her camera had been removed from her purse, case number 090738409.

7:06 pm 2000 block Burrows St. Residential Burglary
Officer Pereira and Officer Fung responded to a call of a home burglary. The residents told the officers that they had returned home to find the front door open and the premise ransacked. Taken were some cash, jewelry, and a purse, case number 090739162.

7:30 pm unit block Valletta Ct. Death Report
Officer Chou responded to a residence where a person had found his friend unconscious and not breathing. Paramedics were on scene and pronounced the resident deceased, case number 090739413.

12:41 am 200 block Yerba Buena Ave. Found Person
Officer McNamara and Officer Ma responded to a call where a missing family member returned home unharmed, case number 090740181.

2:26 am unit block Cortland Ave. Vandalism
Officer Brown responded to a call where a resident had a brick thrown through her living room window by unknown suspects, case number 090740335.
