The shooting was reported at 2:22 a.m., when the 22-year-old victim walked into the hospital with a gunshot wound to the foot that is not life-threatening, police said.

He said he was walking on Vermont Street between 24th and 25th streets when a white 1980s-era two-door car occupied by four people drove by and at least one person inside opened fire at him, according to police.

The suspects, described as men between 25 and 30 years old, remained at large this morning.

Anyone with information about the shooting is encouraged to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or to send a tip by text message to TIP411 with “SFPD” in the message.
