Man Stabbed in Leg, Cut in Hand, Head in Tenderloin

A man was stabbed in his leg and cut on his head and hand early this morning in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood, police said.

Shortly before 4 a.m., a man in his 30s and a man in his 40s were apparently arguing in the 200 block of Taylor Street, near Ellis Street, when the man in his 40s pulled out a knife, according to police.

The older man stabbed the younger man in his leg and cut him on the front of his head and on his hand before fleeing on foot, heading west on Ellis Street, officers said.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

Police have not made any arrests and the motive for the assault remains under investigation.
