Man Found Dead in Tenderloin Dwelling was Homicide Victim

A man found dead inside a dwelling in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood Thursday morning was the victim of a homicide, according to police.

Police responded to the 500 block of O’Farrell Street at about 10 a.m. and found the 48-year-old man already dead.

Medical examiner’s investigators responded and determined the man had died from blunt force trauma and his death was a homicide, according to police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza.

Police have not identified any suspects or motive in the death. The victim’s name was not immediately released.
