Man Stabbed on Muni Bus Refuses to Cooperate with Investigators

A man who was stabbed in the neck while riding a San Francisco Municipal Railway bus in the city’s South of Market neighborhood on Saturday afternoon refused to cooperate with investigators, according to police.

The victim, a man in his 50s, was riding the Muni bus near the intersection of Mission and Eighth streets at about 4:15 p.m. Saturday when a male suspect with a sharp object stabbed him in the neck, police said.

Following the stabbing, the victim was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

No suspects have been arrested and the victim refused to cooperate with the investigation, police said.

The motive for the stabbing remains under investigation.
