Two Alarm Grass Fire Behind Paint Store Under Control

A two-alarm grass fire that briefly spread to a Kelly-Moore Paints store in an industrial area in San Francisco’s Bayview District has been brought under control, fire officials said this evening.

Some firefighters remained on scene as of around 5:30 p.m. working to put out the last embers of the grass fire, which was reported at 3:58 p.m. in the area of 621 Bayshore Blvd., fire officials said.

It spread and briefly caught the back of the paint store at 701 Bayshore Blvd.

A fire official did not have any information on possible damage to any structures but said no hazardous materials or injuries had been reported.
