A man driving a vehicle in San Francisco’s Bayview District was shot at early this morning but escaped injury, police said.
Just after midnight, a man in his 30s got into his vehicle near the intersection of Gilman Avenue and Griffith Street near Gilman Playground and Bret Harte Elementary School.
As he was driving away from the intersection, a suspect fired multiple gunshots in his direction, striking his vehicle, police said.
The victim was not hit by the gunfire and sped away from the area without seeing the shooter, according to police.
Officers have not identified the suspect and are continuing to investigate the shooting and determine a possible motive.
