Man Seriously Injures Victim in Tenderloin Stabbing

Police are investigating the stabbing of a victim in San Francisco’s Tenderloin District early Saturday morning.

At about 7:55 a.m. on Saturday officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the 400 block of Turk Street, near Hyde Street.

The suspect, described as a man in his 40s, stabbed the victim in the neck and was gone when police arrived, police said.

Emergency crews found the victim suffering a life-threatening stab wound to the neck. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment, police said.

Police said the suspect has not been arrested and the motive for the stabbing remains under investigation.
