Pedestrian Struck by Car in Bayview May Be 10 Year Old Child

A pedestrian, possibly a child, was struck by a vehicle and injured in San Francisco’s Bayview District this evening, a fire spokeswoman said.

The incident was reported at 5:26 p.m. on Kirkwood Avenue between Newhall and Phelps streets, fire spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge said.

The victim was taken to a hospital with injuries not considered to be life-threatening, Talmadge said. A caller told fire dispatchers the victim was a 10-year-old child, but Talmadge could not immediately confirm that information.
