Civic Center Station Reopens After Person Struck, Killed by Train

San Francisco’s Civic Center station has reopened this afternoon nearly three hours after a person was struck by a train and killed there, BART officials said.

A person was reported under a train at 10:08 a.m. on the Daly City line and the station was closed, BART spokesman Taylor Huckaby said.

Trains went through the station without stopping while emergency crews responded. The station reopened shortly before 1 p.m., but major delays persist systemwide, BART officials said.
