A 19-year-old man was shot in the leg on Friday afternoon during an attempted robbery in San Francisco’s Ingleside Heights neighborhood, police said today.
Police said the attempted robbery was reported at about 3:30 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Randolph and Arch streets.
The victim was walking near the intersection when a man, described as being in his 20s, approached him and demanded that he hand over his property, according to police.
The suspect then shot the victim in his thigh before fleeing on foot, police said.
The victim was treated at San Francisco General Hospital for injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
No suspects have been identified or arrested in connection with the shooting, police said.
