Man Identified in Fatal Mission Shooting

A man fatally shot in San Francisco’s Mission District early Sunday morning has been identified by the medical examiner’s office as 26-year-old Camilo Senchyna Beltran.

The shooting was reported around 2 a.m. near 20th and Mission streets, police said.

Senchyna Beltran was found suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body. He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, according to police.

No other information about the shooting was immediately available, police said.

The homicide was the first of two to happen within a few blocks of each other in the Mission District early Sunday morning.

About 30 minutes later, 25-year-old Casey Bissell was stabbed to death at 18th and Valencia streets, according to police.

No arrests had been made in the stabbing case as of Monday morning, police said.
