Man Shot Near Candlestick Point

A man was shot near San Francisco’s Candlestick Point on Wednesday evening, police said today.

The shooting was reported at 7:19 p.m. after the 52-year-old victim drove himself home to the 1300 block of Shafter Avenue in the city’s Bayview District and told his wife he had been shot near Candlestick Point, according to police.

The man was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, police said.

No arrests had been made in the case as of this morning, according to police.
