A suspicious package found in San Francisco’s Financial District this evening was determined to be harmless by the Police Department’s bomb squad, a police spokesman said.
Officers received a tip of a suspicious package in the area of Sansome Street and Pacific Avenue around 6 p.m., police Officer Gordon Shyy said.
Police responded to the scene and found the package, according to Shyy.
The bomb squad was called to investigate and later determined the package was not hazardous, Shyy said.
