SF Power Outage Hits More Than 3,000 Last Night

A power outage affected more than 3000 customers in San Francisco Monday night, according to a Pacific Gas and Electric spokesperson.

The outage was first reported at 10:58 p.m. in the Bernal Heights district, PG&E said.

By midnight, 702 customers were still affected by the outage, a PG&E spokesperson said.

No estimated time for when power will be completely restored to the area was available.

The cause for the outage is under investigation by PG&E.

    What a pain it was — the power came back on (and then off again) a few times over the next 6 hours – each time setting off the alarm clocks. It appeared that only 3 or 4 blocks were impacted, along the western slope of Bernal Hill… would love to know what happened!
