Nine Displaced In Two-Alarm Fire At Dolores And 14th

7:41 PM: A two-alarm fire at a residential building in San Francisco’s Mission District was brought under control this evening, fire officials said.

The fire was reported at 4:42 p.m. at a building in the first block of Dolores Street near 14th Street.

Flames were reported on the top floor of the six-story building and were contained as of 5:20 p.m., fire officials said.

firefighters contained the blaze to the top floor and were able to bring the fire under control at 5:36 p.m. after opening up the roof for ventilation, fire officials said.

Nine residents were displaced in the fire and no injuries were reported, according to fire officials.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

5:39 PM: A two-alarm fire burning at a residential building in San Francisco’s Mission District has been contained this evening, fire officials said.

The fire was reported at 4:42 p.m. at a building in the first block of Dolores Street near 14th Street.

The flames, which were initially reported on the top floor of the six-story building, had been contained as of 5:20 p.m. but were not fully extinguished, fire officials said.

No injuries were reported in the blaze.

San Francisco Supervisor Scott Wiener, who represents the neighborhood where the fire occurred, wrote on Twitter, “At fire at Dolores/14th. Thank you SF Fire Dept for great work & quickly getting the fire out.”

The flames were reported on the top floor of the six-story building, fire spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge said.

No injuries have been reported in the fire, which had not been extinguished as of shortly after 5 p.m., fire officials said.

4:53 PM: A fire is reported at the top of a building near 14th and Dolores streets in San Francisco, a fire spokeswoman said.

The one-alarm fire was reported at 4:42 p.m. on the top floor of a six-story building, fire spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge said.

No injuries have been reported and the fire had not been extinguished as of 4:50 a.m., Talmadge said.
